The Shambhala Householder program introduces a grassroots, powerful way to work with the challenge of integrating the Shambhala teachings and practices we are given with the mundane yet profound activities of our daily lives. It provides us with a way to engage with these teachings and practices with a sense of joy and personal inspiration.

The household is not a place to hide from the world, but place to express our principles and invite others to experience dignity. To fully embody the teachings, it is important to infuse our households with our ideals and our heart, as well as our own experience and meditation practice.

...when you express gentleness and precision in your environment, then real brilliance and power can descend onto that situation.
—Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Since we all share the experience of being householders in many styles and forms, we now have the opportunity to bring Shambhala principles even more deeply into our daily lives and homes. Shambhala Household is the common ground of experience that all of us share in our daily lives.

The intention is to bring together Shambhalians from many different ages, paths, and demographics to share their experiences and inspirations about being householders. And, this program will pave the way to establish a Shambhala Household mandala in Southern Arizona and the Southwestern United States.

This program will include the lung for the Shambhala Household text by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. And, those who have not already received a copy of the text can purchase one at the program.

Program price: $150 (Includes $50 materials fee)
